Curriculum Intent
Health and Social Care at All Hallows RC High School equips pupils with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to explore how individuals grow, develop and are supported throughout their lives. The Cambridge National Level 1/2 qualification blends theoretical learning with applied practice, enabling pupils to investigate realworld scenarios and understand the values that underpin highquality care.
Across the twoyear course, pupils study life stages, the impact of life events, communication skills, safeguarding, rights of service users, personcentred values, and the role of health and social
care practitioners. Pupils also complete controlled assessments where they analyse case studies, recommend appropriate support, and design health promotion campaigns.
This qualification supports progression to Level 3 vocational courses, Alevels in social sciences, apprenticeships, and careers in health, social care, early years and community work.
